From observation to follow-up

  1. 01

    A clear problem

Line, context, priority and root-cause notes.

  2. 02

    A concrete countermeasure

Linked action, due date and progress status.

  3. 03

    A regular review

Check progress and record what you learn.

Supported workflows

Useful structure for everyday improvement.

For improvement leads, supervisors and teams building consistent ways of working.

Problems & root-cause notes

Capture a problem statement against a line or area, set its priority and due date, and record root-cause notes. Update the problem status as the investigation progresses.

Root-cause analysis is supported through recorded notes; guided 5 Whys and fishbone tools are not currently available.

Countermeasures & corrective actions

Link a countermeasure to a problem, describe the action and set a due date. Track planned, in-progress and done states, with an effectiveness score recorded when creating the countermeasure.

5S audits & follow-up

Run checklist-based audits, record pass/fail results and comments, and review the score. Failed checks can create follow-up actions; configured checks can require a photo.

Gemba walks

Record the walk, date, line or area, findings count and notes. Track whether the walk is planned or completed and use the record in your next team discussion.

Kaizen in the daily routine

Small improvements.
Visible follow-through.

Use the problem log and countermeasures to support a Kaizen approach. Observe the work, understand the cause, try a change and review what happened.

Bring observations from a Gemba walk or 5S audit into the team’s daily review. Agree responsibility in the meeting and keep the relevant record up to date.

A dedicated Kaizen event management workflow is not yet available. Gemba findings are recorded as notes and a count; they do not automatically become corrective actions.

Connected by your team

Start with a real production loss.

Review recurring downtime or a quality loss in skyTON OEE, then manually create a Lean problem using the relevant line and reporting context. Link a countermeasure and review progress alongside the production trend.

Automatic transfer of OEE losses into Lean actions is part of the future integration direction.
