Getting Started

What is SkyTON OEE?
SkyTON OEE is a performance platform for manufacturers that combines real-time OEE (Availability, Performance, Quality) dashboards, automated downtime & loss analysis, and built-in Lean tools (Kaizen, RCA, action tracking) to raise productivity and reduce waste. See how it works on our Solutions page.
Who is SkyTON OEE best suited for?
Discrete and process manufacturers in the GCC (UAE, Saudi Arabia, etc.) operating one or multiple lines who want fast visibility into losses, lower downtime, and a structured Lean improvement program.
How long does it take to get value?
Most plants see actionable insights in the first week of data collection, with typical OEE uplifts of 15–30% achieved over the first few months through focused loss elimination and CI routines.

OEE & Lean

How does SkyTON calculate OEE?
We compute OEE as Availability × Performance × Quality. Inputs come from signals (PLC/sensors), operator validations, and quality checks. All losses are time-stamped and attributed so Pareto analysis is straightforward.
What Lean capabilities are included?
Kaizen idea capture & prioritization, 5-Why / Fishbone root-cause analysis, action tracking with owners & due dates, standard work/audit checklists, and CI dashboards that link improvements to OEE, MTBF, and cost savings.
Can operators log stops or reasons manually?
Yes. When an automatic signal isn’t available, operators can select standardized stop reasons on tablets/terminals. This keeps your loss taxonomy consistent and your analytics clean.
Do you support predictive or preventive maintenance?
We provide condition-based alerts (e.g., cycle anomalies, micro-stops) and track preventive tasks. Many clients integrate with their CMMS to sync work orders and histories.

Technical & Integration

How does SkyTON connect to machines and systems?
Via PLCs/sensors and standard industrial protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, etc.). For business systems, we integrate with ERP/MES/QMS and analytics tools like Microsoft Power BI to keep data flowing end-to-end.
Is cloud or on-premise deployment available?
Both. Many customers prefer secure cloud for speed and scalability, while regulated plants can run on-premise. We’ll recommend the best fit during discovery.
What hardware do we need?
If your lines already expose signals, you may only need lightweight gateway devices. We’ll audit your setup and provide a minimal bill of materials.

Data & Security

How is our production data secured?
We follow industry best practices: encrypted data in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, audit logs, and region-appropriate data residency. On-prem deployments remain inside your network perimeter.
Who owns the data?
You do. SkyTON acts as a processor. You can export raw events, OEE records, and reports at any time.

Pricing, Onboarding & Support

How is SkyTON priced?
We offer simple packages aligned to the number of lines/linesites and modules enabled (OEE core, Lean CI, maintenance). Get a tailored quote during a free consultation.
What does onboarding include?
Discovery & data audit, connectivity setup, taxonomy design for losses, KPI baselining, training for operators and CI leaders, and a 90-day improvement plan targeting quick wins.
Do you provide regional support in the GCC?
Yes—implementation and ongoing support are available across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with remote coverage for the wider GCC.
Can we pilot SkyTON on a single line first?
Absolutely. Many customers start with one line to validate ROI, then scale to additional lines and plants.
